Win 98 SE with Merlin S620 & Connection Mgr 3 ?

Having upgraded to the Merlin S620 from the C201, I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to install the Sprint PCS Connection Mgr software on a laptop running Win 98 SE. I know, it's probably not gonna work, but I still have my great little Cassiopeia Fiva mini subnotebook and miss greatly being able to use it on the Sprint evdo network. Sprint tier 2, said that even trying to load the software would probably not have the drivers for the new S620 data modem card to be recognized. So far help from Novatelwireless tech support hasn't answered. Anyone know it the XP software would run under Win 98SE?

I've tried loading the S620 Connection Manger software on Win98 and had no luck. There may be a way to grab the install files from WinXP and force onto Win98 but I haven't experimented.
