No go.
I changed the values in both AppleVerizonSupport.kext and AppleVerizonSupportKicker.kext, and got the same results as before.
Is there anything else I can try running on my system? I currently have a 5220 selection in my modem pulldown, but that's the only real card reference. |

| Andy, have you tried it with the "5220" modem selection? Maybe that will work... |

I have 5220 right now.
What are the parameters to be entered there? my menu bar icon still comes up with "unknown vendor".
I had my brother activate the card on his PC, so I know it works (he got 1mb+ download speed). |

I looked on www.novatelwireless.com.
They have a quad-band u630 card that supports OS-X. I wonder in those drivers would power the v620?
Problem is, I can't seem to find the drivers anywhere.... |

| It would also be helpful to know what the System Profiler shows for a pc5220. |

I got it to recognize the v620 on my Powerbook. Use this:
<key>idProduct</key>
<integer>4368</integer>
<key>idVendor</key>
<integer>5136</integer> |

What do you mean by recognized?
In the system profiler, or in your menu bar? |

In the menu bar.
Still fiddling. It lets me configure it. It attempts to dial but gets a modem error. I suspect this is because there is no modem script for it. Where can I find a modem script for the 5220 and where do I put it? |

OK, LETS TAKE A DEEP BREATH.
Are you now connected with a Novatel V620 on your PowerBook?
I understand what needs to change in the XML file(s), did you change anything in the modem script?
For those that are not too technical, I can build an installer application that changes the necessary files and makes it simple.
I just want to confirm if you changed the modem script and confirm if you are connected.
