Macbook Pro EVDO working solutions (using V3C from verizon)

Great that this works! I just got a MacBook Pro, and am thinking it's about time to get a Bluetooth phone so that I don't have to use the clunky USB cable to get online.

Ok, don't pounce on me here, but it sounds like EVDO is some kind of mobile broad-band that the carriers charge extra for. Has anyone used this phone with bluetooth in non-broad-band for free? Not sure what it's called, but I've been doing it on my old LG phone, using it as a modem. You know, username includes your #, and the dial-in number is #777 or something. The $60 a month is a bit steep for my occasional use!

Have to call Verizon tomorrow and check on the V3i =)
