| Does anyone know when Sprint will have EV-DO coverage in Ocean County, New Jersey. Specifically I am interested in the Toms River area (zip codes: 08753, 08754, 08755, 08722, 08721). I tried asking several Sprint reps in local stores but they had no idea. One even told me that EV-DO does not exist and I must be thinking of Wi-Fi using a cable modem. Thanks in advance. |

| lol gotta love un-trained reps. The truly best way to test is do the 14 day trial. Get a card and a plan, and just drive around. That is exactly what I did for both Sprint and Verizon. Sprint won it hands down based on my driving around. That is the truly best way to do it. You can look at coverage maps, but those are sometimes inaccurate. Verizon says they have coverage in CO Springs. hahahah yea rite. I hope that helps! I would assume that your area would have it. I used to live out on eastern LI, and according to maps and a friend of mine who lives in my old town, he says their is Sprint EVDO. Eastern LI is similar to your areas, fairly suburban. |

I talked to an engineer about the rollout. According to him (and off the record), most areas with over 2000 people per sq. mile will have a good chance of having Sprint EVDO by the end of this year, so some areas should be sooner than later. There's an article posted in another thread that suggests Sprint plans to do 100% of network by 2007.
