| I am in my trail period with Alltel using the Kyocera card. The drivers and software all loaded, but the software to make the connection does not see the card. I am aware that the software is certified on windows XP&2000. Because of the age of the laptop and because I am planning of using the card with the Kyocera router, I am not willing to upgrade to WindowsXP. Is there a way that I can finish configuring and setting up the modem so that I can install it in the router? |

In order to use any EVDO Card in a Kyocera KR1, the card needs to be activated in a supported laptop once, and then it will work in the KR1.
We offer pre-activation at no charge for those ordering Verizon cards from us. We will soon offer it for Sprint customers wanted to use a card with a KR1. For Alltell, you need to find a supported laptop to activate it once, before it will work in the KR1. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

| Take your card back to the store, they can program it for you to use in the router until you get your laptop upgraded. |

| Thanks for the information. I was able to activate the card by borrowing a laptop from someone. |
