so if you were to have sprint service and an evdo enabled device. Are you able to roam onto other carriers evdo service?

I don't think so, there is no roaming feature for EVDO service. You are either in your carriers area or you get no bars at all.

Well, If there is other operator, called as XYZ which has 1900CDMA market in USA and also has a roaming agreement with Sprint PCS, a user may receive a EVDO service in XYZ market as long as AAA is upgreaded.

I just don't see it happening any time soon. With the market being as small as it is I can't see Sprint and Verizon getting together to allow roaming. Verizon would also have to reword their user agreement, it says nothing about roaming fees because they don't expect to to sign agreements with any one soon.

Now I could see Sprint having an agreement with a local carrier that may offer EVDO since they are so far behind Verizon. I just can't imagine paying the $80 a month and then having to worry avout a 10cent per minute charge because I was roaming while checking email.

I think we are a few years away before we start seeing EVDO roaming.
