PostPosted: Fri Aug 12, 2016 10:21 am    Post subject: Question about cricket wireless and voice functionality

I am moving to a rural area and satellite internet is costly and vastly inadequate to my needs so im looking into 4g braoadband. My area has reachable 4g though an at&t tower but there is no verizon coverage in the area. Im looking into cricket wireless as they have a truly unlimited plan even though bandwidth is throttled to 8mbps down while upload is uncapped. All im really interested in is retaining a ping under 100 for online fps and some streaming. My question is does 3g store sell a modem/router with voice functionality usable on the at&t network? I do not wish to buy two seperate device for home phone and internet and then have to pay a 25$plan and 80$ one or build twice as many antennas and also would the cricket sim even work in an at&t proprietary device? I saw the at&t homebase but it has an internal antenna and i have heard of problems with this device using large amounts of the bandwidth and data allowance. I need something with external antenna ports (not necessarily mimo) and would like to know if voice functionality is possible so i could have one device, one plan, and one sim.
