Been using Macs for years. I use the built in OSX applications: Calendar, Mail.app (IMAP) , iChat, address book etc.
Have a nice new PPC7600 on the way to me. I am hopeful that i can use it as weak replacement for all my Mac stuff when out of the office.
Would love to hear form the group how you handle issues like SYnc, mail, AIM etc?
Suggestion to specific application would be greatly appreciated. |

Unfortunately, the PPC6700 is unsupported by any Mac application I'm familiar with because it uses Windows Mobile 5. Microsoft changed the supported methods in such a way that the Missing Sync and Pocketmac no longer work.
Both vendors (I personally prefer MarkSpace's Missing Sync for stability reasons) claim to have Windows Mobile 5 support in the works, but you can use Pocket Outlook for e-mail, calendar and contacts without sync on the phone just fine. There is a AOL supported of aim out there, but I believe that they charge for it (unless you use the UK version) |

The Missing Sync for PPC Mobile 5 should be pretty cool when it is finished (though there are bound to be bugs... since it will be rev1).
I currently use The Missing Sync for Palm to sync things between my Macs and my Treo650. Works great! Just picked up the Verizon XV6700... waiting impatiently for the new Missing Sync PPC update. Go bug the folks at MarkSpace. ;] |
