Hi All,

I had mentioned in previous posts about my experiments with building homemade Yagi antennas to improve Verizon 3G/4G reception. I finally had a chance to document the build process with many pictures, including some brief testing results. The write-up is available here:

http://bcbj.org/antennae/lte_yagi_diy.htm

It takes about four hours to build, and I listed readily available parts to keep the total cost of the antenna itself around $10.

If you have the time and interest, it's a fun afternoon project. Of course, the fastest and easiest solution is to simply buy an antenna (preferably from 3GStore.com). But, for those on a budget, this is one way of increasing your data reception at a minimal cost.

I tested the antenna in my attic with the VL600 and UML290. It increased the RSSI by around 9-12 dB, and increased the SINR by around 10-18 dB. YMMV.

Some photos are included below. Let me know if you have any questions.
