Sprint site on newly available towers

Found this on another forum. It is a Sprint Spectrum site that gives a great deal of detailed info on the network. Anyone can register but it does ask for a street address.

An example. Here is a list of new cell sites just added since Jan 01. A majority are Nextel sites (two letters, four number), which apparently will be made available to add CDMA.

Also shows a map but only works in Internet Explorer on Windows. The map of sites can be zoomed in/out and move around. The detail is impressive.

Update: This site is not all Sprint towers. It is apparently a division of Sprint that licenses the cellsites to collocate. But it does give an indication of which Nextel sites will be available to CDMA upgrades. About 1600 listed are Nextel sites. Word is, Sprint plans to add CDMA to 14,000 Nextel site in a few years.

I wonder if any new Sprint cellsite from this point on is automatically an EVDO site? Sprint has made some rumblings about 'statewide EVDO coverage'. This might be an indication of the beginnings.

Is there anyway to tell which towers close to you are EVDO and which ones are 1xrtt? Thanks.
