I have a question for you. I have a Sapido MB-1132 and this 4G modem. I cannot get my 551L to connect to my router. Do you by chance have the APN settings? Verizon refuses to give them to me and I am at wits end with this thing. Thanks SO much for the help, I really appreciate it! |

| Are you able to change your NAT type by forwarding the ports on that router when connected to 4G? |

Don't believe everything you hear from "reps". They typically are going to say whatever to get you to purchase what they have in stock.
We test these all the time and have sold 1000s.
The Pantech UML290 did originally have many issues 11 - 17 months ago when VZ LTE first rolled out. That was 3 modem firmware versions ago and now things are rock solid. We sell a ton of these and even more purchase routers with their UML290.
Plus, the UML290 is the only modem that has a utility that can make the 3G get a public IP Address. Also, there is a way to get a public IP Address on the 4G modem, so that you can reach your router and devices over the internet. _________________ EVDO :: 3G Routers :: 3G Antennas :: Verizon Data Cards :: Sprint Data Cards :: CloudCam |

"Also, there is a way to get a public IP Address on the 4G modem, so that you can reach your router and devices over the internet."
How is that? This is what I'm trying to find out. I think. I'm trying to get an Open NAT with the UML290 using 4GLTE. I'm also using an MBR900 router.
When I fist hooked it up, I got a NAT type of Strict. I set the modem to 4G only mode, through the router, and that got my NAT type to moderate. Is there a way to make it open? I can never get a straight answer from anyone on this one.
Oh, and I'm playing MW3. Right now the NAT is moderate with forwarded ports, modem in 4G only mode, and the most up-to-date firmware for all devices. But I would like the NAT type to be open instead of moderate.
Please help! |

Thanks Micheal. I'm still stuck on moderate whether I try a wireless or wired connection. Better than strict though which is where I was before the modem changes.
Does anyone see playing with a wired connection being a problem? I know the mbr900 has issues when connected wired to a 4Glte modem due to the high data rates, but gaming, like MW3, doesn't use a lot of data. Do you guys think I'll have issues since gaming doesn't use a lot of data? Thought I would ask before I try since I won't be playing for a day or two. |
