Hello all,

If I disable the EVDO option on my LG VX8100, how does that affect the signal / voice communication ability ( It should just defuatl to 1xRTT right?).

Basically, I do not use my phone for any data xfer, but I am curious, when I make a standard phone call, is any portion of the EVDO network used at anytime for voice communications, or is that strictly for data operations? (IE will my call quality and or signal performance degrade in any way...)

Please advise.

Thanks!

P.S. I forgot to mention it's a Verizon network in case anyone was wondering.

The short answer

EVDO .... EV = EVolution , DO = DATA ONLY (no voice, data only)
