How easily can CradlePoint Routers be used for Failover protection? Do I need a CradlePoint Router for this, OR can I get the CBA750?
I am looking to have a Cradlepoint failover after a cable modem goes down (which happens almost daily). Once the cable modem comes back up, I want the router to fail back over to cable.
I know that I can get 3G or 4G for the mobile broadband wireless, not really worried about that piece, just the hardware that is needed to handle mobile broadband failover.
Thanks! |

If reliability and up time are your primary concerns, you might be better off with our new Nexaira Business Class BC2 router. This router offers a failover time that's much faster than Cradlepoint routers and allows you access to real time statistics and SSH.

To answer your question, yes, the CBA750 (This is a Cradlepoint product) can be configured as a failover device. What exactly are you looking to do with the router as the CBA750 is designed for IP Passthrough.
Are you trying to integrate this into an existing firewall? |

| Just wanted to add that the Nexaira BC2 also offers IP Passthrough via ethernet/LAN or WiFi connectivity. |
