It's great so far. I'm in the Dallas area and am averaging 400 down 80-90 up.

No, I haven't found it necessary here in Dallas. The signal is very stable and fast. Since I got rid of the Venturi software, I haven't seen a slowdown below 4-500kb and that's as advertized so I'm pretty happy.

I'm going to go ahead and trade for the 620 just because it's newer technology and hopefully when Rev A hits I won't have to upgrade my card but that's a pipedream, how're they going to cram 3000kb through that thing. Smile

Richard, you're lucky to be in a stable VZW area. I also just bought an EVDO card and here in Southern Maryland with inferior VZW service I usually can't connect. If I do, the signal fluctuates and the throughput runs around 16kbps.

Sorry to hear that but it'll probably get better. This post is from back in Feb and my throughput has doubled since then. I'm using the V620 now, there are more towers and I'm averaging about 800-900kb.

They are establishing service at a much faster clip than I imagined they would so hang in there.
