I was at the RV store yesterday, getting propane.

Browsing while waiting my turn at the counter.

I saw a device that said it was a signal locator.

This is just a little black box that you attach to a dish, (as in dish satellite), in place of the 'settop box'. (Remove the device and replace your settop box, when done.)

It has an analog, (needle), guage.

Aim the dish, and watch the needle, to find the strongest satellite signal.

Several people there said it actually worked, and was well worth the 55 dollars cost.

I wish we had something like that available, to find the strongest evdo signal, (without having to go through field tests, moving the antenna a tiny bit then waiting a minute, then moving it a tiny bit again, etc...)

It'd be nice to be able to just attach a little box, and watch the needle as you move the antenna...
