|
|
I was able to set up my new Cradlepoint 900 router on my Mac. The set-up went great until I set up a WEP password. I tried to set up the first key with my 10 digit phone number, but it kept erroring out. I then put my 10 digit phone number as the first 10 digits of the number already in the key (replacing the numbers already there). I copied the number and saved it for future use. The set then let me move on as directed in the instructions.
THe next time I tried logging in, AirPort asked me for my WEP password. I've tried everything (phone number & the actual number created and saved) and it won't let me in. It keeps saying the connection "timed out".
Any help on fixing or resetting the WEP password would be appreciated.
Thanks |

Since you purchased from 3Gstore.com feel free to give us a call at 866-3Gstore for tech support.
Try putting 0x in front of your password. Thats ZeroX.
So if your password is 8663478673, then type in 0x8663478673. I believe this was an issue in OS X 10.4 Tiger, and may still be an issue in newer Mac OS X's.
Let us know if that helps! |

I actually figured it out and was able to reset the router & start over. I've now got both Macs and my son's DSi on the router. Its working well.
Thanks again! |
