I'm not having any issues with my MBR1200, but I'm just wondering when it will get a firmware update to bring it inline with the MBR1000 and PHS/CTR range.

I'm thinking about switching to the newer Clear USB modem with built-in swivel, but I don't want to do it yet since the 1200 won't support it yet.

When I bought my MBR1200 from 3Gstore.com they told me the firmware update would be very soon and they had been told by CradlePoint they were working on it. Yesterday, March 10, I had a chat session with Tech support and they told me the update which would include the PXU1900 would come out in 2 months or less.

We are hopeful that a firmware update for the MBR1200 will be coming soon. When we have more information, we'll post it here - if you'd like to be notified whenever this thread is updated, click the "Watch this topic for replies" link under the thread, and you'll get an email when we update it with more info!

Is the MBR1200 dual band? or does it only use the 2.XX range. Sorry, newbie here. I have a USB 727 and want to know what kind of wireless usb adapter I should get for my old "g" Mac. Single or dual band(greater options?) I would think 5.XX would get better range, etc

Thanks

the MBR1200 uses wireless "n", but it is backwards compatible with g/b. upgrading your mac to "n" will allow you to take fuller advantage of the powerful wireless range, but isn't "necessary". The frequency band is 2.412 to 2.484 GHz - if you're looking for a good compatible "n" adapter, check out this one: USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter

Since the 1200's firmware upgrade to 1.6.12 my Clear PXU1900 4G modem works fine with it.
