SO i finally picked myself up an MBR900.

Its great that I can now just use my Ipod Touch whenever i want and not have to worry about VZAccess Manager anymore.

My only question is...when set to "On Demand"...what exactaly is considered demand? I always thought things like antivirus and windows update constantly check for updates if there is an active connection. Will things like that pull it out of standby and essentially keep it connected almost 24/7?

Or, does it take something more significant, like trying to access a webpage from a PC?

Im just curious if it is safe to leave on "On Demand" with the measly 5GB monthly limit.

I also have the timeout set to a the 20 min default, as that seems fair.

Thanks for any clarification on this.

Yeah the router constantly communicates with the tower keeping your internet connection alive.

If you are concern about it being 'on' when your computer is not in use. Unplug it from the electricity.

On demand will automatically reconnect the aircard whenever you become active on your computer.
