I don't know if this is where I'm suppose to post it, but I'm having trouble with my Sprint Novatel Merlin S620. The card was working perfectly on my Dell Latitude X200. Then I recently purchased my Dell Inspiron 6000 (with Windows XP Media Center) and received the notebook yesterday. I installed my Sprint card and it worked beautifully yesterday.
The next day, the Sprint Conncection Manager said "Insert Card." So what I did was uninstalled it, and reinstalled it. It didn't work. It doesn't even load the drivers anymore. After installing the Connection manager and restarting, I put the card in and the windows only detect it as a "PCI Device" and that it had trouble installing it properly. In my Device Manager it says PCI Device with a yellow exclamation point. Everything else was good. No conflicts whatsoever.
My Inspiron 6000 has a built in bluetooth and wilreless card. I don't know if that matters. But any help would be appreciated. Thanks, guys! |

Search these forums for Dell Inspiron 6000, you will find many issues reported here.
The only cards that work on the Dell Inspiron 6000 are the PC5220 & Aircard 580. Many have had problems with all the other cards. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

This will give you an idea what laptops and cards work together... The 620 series does have compatability issues with Dells:
