Location and Markets, Is there any difference?

Several users are beginning to think that the Overdrive issues may be stemming from the individual markets that they are being used in. Currently, we are working with an Overdrive in the Chicago Market and have had mixed results from utilizing this device as our Hybrid 3G/4G modem.

At the same time in the same location we have had multiple Clear modems not only connected but being utilized for 4G speeds. It appears that the Chicago market may definitely be having 4G network related issues, but how can this hold any water when the Clear devices are connecting just as they did as the very first day we received them?

There has been many reports from other markets that the infrastructure for the 4G network has really played a part with the amount of returns this unit has seen.

It would be interesting to find out what your experience has been in your specific Market. We can then combine all of the information and get real data on what is happening with this device from market to market.

So, if you have an Overdrive, reply to this thread with:

Market your in:
Firmware Version:
Your success or failure with your Overdrive:
Are you in a 3G Only Area:
Have you brought your device to a known 4G area?

Dallas
FW 1.07
Speeds between 3-6Mbps when fixed, mobile is a disaster though

San Antonio
Speeds between .2 during the afternoon and weekends to 5Mbps in the mornings on weekdays

All other issues such as random disconnects, high ping rates and freezing happen in both markets and in 3G areas.
