I upgraded last night, and am not happy so far...

My modem is an Alltel UM150. Everything was working fairly good before the upgrade, but I had the occasional problem with the 350 loosing contact with the modem, and having to power-cycle. This would happen maybe a few times a month, so wasn't a real big issue.

Since upgrading last night, I've had the problem happen twice. Recovery is a little easier, I can just unplug/plug the modem now.

Here's the log from when it happened last time:

Code:

[INFO] Fri Feb 26 10:45:28 2010 WAN device (PPP) on port USB1 returned status_no_response status
[INFO] Fri Feb 26 10:45:28 2010 WAN Device hard reset

One strange thing is the PPTP errors. I've never seen them before. I do have VPN tunnel to work set up, but until the upgrade I've never seen this error.

I'm going to let 2.5.2 run for another day or so, but if the problems continue, I'm downgrading...

I upgraded last night as well. In less than 24 hours, I've power cycled my router 3 times to get my connection back.

I turned off the aggressive reset feature. If that didn't fix it, I'm rolling back my firmware.

I will have our tech department do some additional testing on the "aggressive reset feature".

Let us know your results as well.

I had to unplug/replug the modem again today.

I've now turned off the Aggressive Reset and the Verify Connection options.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I've had to power cycle it 5 times in the last 48 hours.

Even after turning off the aggressive reset feature, it doesn't seem to help.

I'm going to roll back to the older firmware.

I know. I was hoping that the latest version would resolve having to power-cycle the 350 occasionally.

I'm going to revert in a day or so probably

The 350 just lost contact with the modem again.

Happening here, as well.

I had an especially difficult time getting online and staying on, this morning.

I think maybe the reason this 'fails', is that it turns the modem off, to do a forced reset. But the modem doesn't come back on.

For now, I also turned off aggressive reset.

But I have left the verify connection turned on. With 30 second timeout, and ping 8.8.8.8 on idle.

We have all of our tech guys testing the "Aggressive Reset" feature today and will add more info at the end of the day.

It just happened again....

I'll be downgrading. What's the best version to run for the 350?

Aggressive reset and verify connection are both off.

I just rolled back to 2.5.0, which was working well for me last week, before I upgraded to 2.5.2.

Glad I didn't install the new firmware.

Did Cradlepoint test this before they released it?
