I'm using a Sierra Wireless MC5720 internal pci express card. I consider both of my speeds extremely slow, but in OSX it's unberable...
In windows I managed to mess with some of the tcp settings, but on osx my card is a PPP modem, and I can't seem to find anywhere to change tcp settings.
Using Verizon BroadbandAccess
Any ideas why in the world my connection sucks so badly? Thanks! |

| That doesn't sound encouraging. I have a Verizon UM175 card that I have been using with my Windows laptop, but I was planning to use it on my Mac once I get moved. Do you think it's your specific model of card? |

| I have no idea, but it's extremely annoying. I'm hoping there's a resolution to this. It seems like most everyone else has somewhat decent speeds. |

Are you getting 200kbps, or were you actually getting 150kbps and just rounding up?
The reason I'm asking is...if your only getting 150kbps or less, then your aircard is only connecting to the slower 1xRTT network when it's connected to your Mac, and there are ways to fix this. |

Is that what you are getting on your Mac? The download speed is average, but the upload speed isn't good . The slow upload speed is most likely due to poor signal strength. |

The above speed was when I was at home. I'm now at the office...
What about MTU and other TCP settings? Anything I can do to optimize my connection or increase the power?
Thanks! |

| What software are you using to establish the EVDO connection? |
