Prepaid Recommendations

I haven't been real active lately on this forum, but I am looking for some suggestions. My family and I will be going to Florida next month for vacation. I may be interested in getting some sort of prepaid data access while there. I have seen some posts on this in the past, but I still have questions. As I see it now I have several choices:

-do nothing and hope for some wi-fi hotspots at restaurants, etc.

-get an adapter to use the work PCMCIA Sprint aircard (I would need a PCMCIA to USB adapter for the wife's netbook)

-get a prepaid USB wireless aircard

-get a prepaid Mifi

Of the above listed so far, I am sure that my two sons would prefer the last choice listed because they could use their iPod Touches. On the other hand the first choice is probably the least expensive! I am sort of reluctant to buy a PCMCIA to USB adapter because they are expensive and we might actually switch to USB aircards at work in the future anyway. Aside from the differences in straight up equipment cost, if the prepaid cost of Mifi vs. a USB wireless aircard similar?
