KR2s unreliable?

My dad has had TWO KR2's crap out where the wifi stops working while the connectivity portion and the switch aspects still work. We've tried resetting them, reflashing, cycling the wifi on/off switch, etc., but no dice.

I recently upgraded my original WRT54G3G-ST to an MBR1200 and gave the old rig to my dad since he had to buy a WAP to get wifi working in his house again. The Linksys was a workhorse and never gave me a lick of trouble while the newer and more expensive (and I thought more futureproof when I got my dad to buy them) KR2 has pretty much sucked.

Was my dad just unlucky twice or are others having problems with flaky wifi on the KR2?
