Using an S620, I was able to get EVDO coverage from the Pasco/Hernando county border up to the vicinity of Hwy. 50 in Spring Hill. Impressive throughput, too: 900kbps (without a booster antenna, no less!).

I was N of Tampa in June and got Sprint EVDO all over Spring Hill but as soon as I got into Brooksville, I was in 1xRTT land. I was surprised there was EVDO that far outside Tampa that early. Is Brooksville covered yet by either Sprint or Verizon? I have a friend there considering DO.

FWIW, I drove through Brooksville on my way home yesterday and did not find any EVDO signal on the Sprint network.
