I know this is probably a dumb question so forgive my ignorance.

My EVDO service is on a Verizon tower (1900 mhz), can that same tower also house the voice service(800 mhz)? Just wondering if my cellular service with Verizon is also on that same tower. I know it's 800 mhz (Channel 242) by going into the field test mode on my cell phone while placing a call.

most likely, towers host a wide variety of services on many freq.s, and all on one tower.

Thanks, that confirmed what I had found out as well. I took my new verizon cell phone and went to the same tower as my EVDO, turned on the field test mode, and saw about a -52 on channel 242 (800 mhz).
