Does the newer firmware solves the problem where the mifi disconnects and reconnects for no good reason? Both Sprint and Verizon mifi does the random disconnect and reconnect for me. Wonder if this solves those problems?

I'm curious about this too. I need to be able to access MiFi-connected computers remotely on occasion (using LogMeIn) and if this thing is going to keep disconnecting it's not going to work for me.

I'm doing the firmware update now, but it would be nice to know from others if they've seen a fix so I can determine if I should keep this or not.

well, it appears my connection still comes in and out - even with the new firmware update.

Hmm.I can't really say yet. But it seems that my connection is some what more stable now. Doesn't disconnect as often like before. Do your mifi disconnect even when you have reception? Mine was disconnecting even with full bars. I believe one other poster also said that his connection seems more stable now..

EDIT: I take my word back, no it still disconnects just as often as before. The only reason I thought it improved was now they don't reset the send/receive MBs any more, so I thought it stayed connected, but when I notice the timer was barely 30 seconds, I knew it was disconnected.. damn.. so much waiting and the basic problem was not solved.
