RevA slow??

Been using Alltel EVDO for a couple years...I have an external antenna, a wilson amp, and a PC5750 card. Getting high 60's signal and about 600K down, 120k up. Not too bad!

This week, my alltel rep said I had RevA in my area for almost a year. Odd, my 5750 never saw it? So I downloaded a new firmware and applied it...cool, now I have rA instead of DO on my Axxess display so I do have RevA at my house.

Went to test the speed....now I get 180K down and over 200K up!! WTF???

What happened?? I know I'm getting RevA since the upload speed went up quite a bit....why did my download speed tank???

try it without the amp, then without antenna as well.

mine did the same thing. It varies a lot though. I have an external antenna with my USB card, getting -50dBm, and my blackberry tour gets better speeds without an antenna lol. It's weird...
