I am all over this if they plan on supporting the Alltel PC5750, I would LOVE to kick my Linksys!
Anyone have any idea if the PC5750 will be supported? |

It *should* work without any problems.
We have a 14 day return policy, so if you have any issues you can return it.
I will tell you what, I will let you be our Alltel PC5750 tester. Contact sales@3gstore.com, reference this thread. We will give you a special discount on the MBR1200 to be "our tester" for the AllTel PC5750. Not only, will we give you a special discount, IF it doesn't work, we will give you a refund and give you a pre-paid return label. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

Got it yesterday! Talk about fast shipping! Did not have a lot of time to mess with it, but hooked it up, put in my PC5750 it detected it worked without any tweaks! I still have to get it all set with all my forwards and such so I will report back again next week once I have had it running for a couple of days to see if there are any problems.
I also have access to a Sprint U727 (which is supported) so I will run some tests between the two and see if there are any differences.
Very nice router compared to my Linksys - so far I am impressed.
Thanks! |

| Anyone tested the MBR1200 (or MBR1000 for that matter) with the new UMW190 USB card from Verizon? |

I'm back with an update. I have been running the MBR1200 on my Alltel PC5750 for a week now and I have had Zero operating problems.
The only sticking point is that the signal indicator on the unit will not display the signal with the 5750 installed. There is also some information missing from the device info screen. If I switch to the Sprint U727 the signal indicator works and all information is displayed. I believe this is due to the fact that the PC5750 is not officially supported.
I ordered the external wi-fi antennas to help boost the wi-fi coverage which was good without them. I just needed a little more. By doing this I was able to emiminate an access point that I had configured up for WDS.
I love the MBR1200, it is way better than the Linksys I was running.
Anyone know If they plan on officially supporting the PC5750? I have emailed them about adding it. |

its not a matter of official support or lack of it.
that card is officially supported when used on verizon, and still doesn't do what you want.
some devices, especially all pantechs, simply do not allow for those features.
the novatel and sierra wireless products are more cooperative.

All good info! It is not that big of a deal since it does show my RSSI number which to me is more important than showing a bar for signal strength.
One thing I forgot to mention above is the Alltel 12 hr discnnect issue. In my Linksys I had a PC that would monitor the connection and when it dropped it would reboot the router. The MBR1200 takes care of this itself when the dreaded 12hr disconnect occurs. So that is another + for the MBR1200.
So bottom line is that the MBR1200 does work with the Alltel PC5750. |
