Hi everyone,
I have been tethering my Motorola V9m for about two years now and it has been working fine for me but I noticed that my area has finally upgraded to Rev A.
I currently have a CTR 500 and I also have a Wilson onmi but I don't use the antenna currently.
I was thinking of cutting the cord and getting a air card of some sort to take advantage of Rev.A and the better latency that goes along with it. What cards or USB modems are working well in fringe signal areas and are compatible with my CTR 500?
I see some refurb UM 175's on Ebay for a good price and I am also not afraid of getting something used. I'm thinking of going the used route so I don't get roped into a contract because I want to be able to drop my service in case something better comes along. <Dreaming of DSL>
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?
Thanks,
Matt |

Based on all the suggestions I got I picked up a UM175 off of Ebay. I guess I will see how it works. |

| Wait, you are saying it is possible to buy an aircard off ebay and use it without a contract? How? Will you simply continue to pay tethered prices? Surely it will be noted that you are now using Rev A.... |

| Yes, it will be with out contract but I will have to add aircard service and drop tethering. |
