I found after the issues with the DNS from the weekend that I had to run 2 lines from a command prompt:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns |

Would I still have to do this, since I just got the wireless card? I have never been able to get to either of these sites. |

| I don't know if you'd need to with a new card, unless you've been going to various wifi spots before hand. |

| Odd, maybe you do need to try the commands I posted. I'm not having issues with those sites, so I'm just guessing here. |

| It finally started working for me today. I didn't have to do anything. |

I lost Yahoo and Facebook again like last week. This time, I tried changing my EC168 to receive a mobile IP only, and everything is back.
EDIT: Tried running my card with Mobile IP off just for grins, and it also works fine. Seems to only happen this weekend with Mobile IP Preferred. So, I'm going to test it off for a bit, because I'm getting better speeds. |

I always leave mobile ip off. Not sure what it does really... Anyways, my data card is working great again. I'm always getting over 1Mbps down on speedtests and around 400Kbps.
Every page is loading as it should now too. |

From my understanding, it seems that Mobile IP is to make it easier to use if you're traveling (ie. using the card in a laptop while someone else is driving) and it switches from tower to tower. If that is indeed the case, that's really not what I need, because I use it at home, or when I'm at a destination, not en route. |
