So before I even begin asking questions about a home amp/antenna plan, I want to test my signal with my phone, but can't for the life of me get its field test mode to work - HELP!

its a motorola V6c world edition. I can access the "behind the scenes" menu by: #073887* , then 000000 unlock code. Then go to test mode, select, then highlight enable, then select. This back you out of the enable/disabled screen, and then I'm stumped.

Most instructions call for a off/on step next, using a menu - upper left soft key to toggle between test mode and regular screen, but it doesn't seem to do anything but simply turn back on like a regular phone.

Can anyone HEAR ME NOW? anyone have any experience with this. I've googled the heck out of it, but can't find any other variations that work / or are for this phone in particular.

Help me get started...

get the tethering software for your phone, and use it's signal meter without going online you shouldn't incur any tethering charges.
