NEED HELP...WRT54G3GV2-ST restarts

Well I have a WRT54G3Gv2-st. I was wondering how to stop the router from restarting during downloads.

I am using a Compass 597 as the primary source of internet. The card works great in my VISTA laptop and XP / WIN7 desktop.

OK here is an example of what happens. everything is fine and i go to download an install program from (avast webstie) and half way it flashed the power light and restarts the modem and the connection.

Any help?

I have a RMA case # just incase the router is broken.

I see a few other posts here with the same problem on the V2 Linksys Router. Do a RMA on it and try another one.

It kind of bites that i have to pay for shipping of their defective product.
So my great deal i got on my router just cost me about 20 bucks more!

I guess Linksys isnt making enough money to take care of their mistakes.

Well got my new router via RMA......

guess what? Same Problem. The router will randomly reset!

All lights are on and all of a sudden the power light starts to blink and resets the router and drops the internet. All the 1,2,3,4 eternet lights stay on, wireless light stays on, and the blue mobile light goes off.

Any suggestions? will updating to the user made firmware help?
If so, can some one please send me the link for the WRT54g3gv2-ST router. thanks
