I'm having a bit of issue getting what I think is good throughput. Normally, on the sprint network around here with my OLDER phone, mogul, connected to my pc, I can get 1.5mbs, or sometimes even higher. With the usb modem, novotel 727 connected, I am seeing sometimes 1.1-1.2 in speed test.

When I connect the modem to the PHS300, runnning 2.2.1 I think, I seem to really only get 800-900 kps? Maybe that is just a more realistic number, or maybe is there something that throttles the speed somehow, or are the router/modems not as efficient? Or, is there something I need to do to make the phs300 take advantage of the throughput of the rev-a speed modem?

You may want to try disabling traffic shaping in the router to see if there is an improvement in speed. The feature ought to be under the Advanced tab in the router's firmware interface.
