Hi,

I searched the forums for my problem, and actually did find an answer, though it required help from a member who I assume is also a Verizon employee? To make a long story short, I have Verizon wireless internet with a UM175. July 25 the tower had an outage. When it came back up the next day, things worked great, then deteriorated. By Aug. 5 it was unusable. This post here: evdoforums.com/thread8953.html is basically the exact same thing I'm going through right now. I'm very frustrated and hope there's someone on here that can help me as they helped this person. I am currently mid-way though my "7-10 business days and someone will get back to you" wait for a tech, but have little faith in a resolution based on my previous talks with said tech. (He tried to blame it on the fact I am an old Alltel customer.) Can anyone help?

Thanks!

I suggest you re-activate the modem by clicking on the Options tab up top and select "activation" .. give it a minute or two.

I have done that many, many times. It has made no difference. I have gotten a new modem. I have gotten a field tech that is supposed to be investigating but I've heard nothing from him (aside from him telling me it's because I'm an old Alltel customer, which is bull) This all started with a tower outage, so I feel pretty darned sure it's nothing on my end.
