Hi, I am a super newbie to this and I have been browsing these forums for answers to my UM175 modem suddenly displaying slow connection speeds. I cannot watch a youtube video on normal quality without waiting more than 10 minutes!

I have locked the modem on HDR only mode. And also have pulled up a speedtest and here's what it reads:

My signal strength fluctuates between -75 to -82 dBm.

I am a huge newbie to this broadband stuff so I do not know if my modem is supposed to be doing this or what. I'm assuming it is not this slow because the other day I was running just fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Have you moved your modem? Even a small move can make a big difference.

Seeing as your verizon wireless customer lets have you do a PRL update, in VZ ACCESS Manager go to OPTIONS>ACTIVATION wait 1-2 minutes until it tells you activation successful, then do a speed test again
