Help Please, I am brand new to this. I just bought a MBR 1000 and I can't get my Windows XP computer to connect to it, either by ethernet or wireless. I get a message that IE can't connect when I type in the 192.168.0.1 Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you certain you are pulling an IP address from the router properly? My parents recently changed ISPs, and they had a static IP on their machine and thus couldn't connect to the internet/router. Changed their IP information back to DHCP and things worked like a charm.

Run an 'ipconfig /all' at the command prompt to determine what your IP information is.

Shut down your computer first. Then run an Ethernet/Cat5 cable from your computer to one of the Yellow LAN ports on the router. Start computer, open browser and enter 192.168.0.1 The MBR1000 configuration screen should appear. If it asks for a password, it is the last 6 numbers/letters of the MAC address found on the bottom of the router. After that just use the setup wizard.
