I just bought PHS300 thinking all usb modems would be supported where ever in the world.

I am in India. The USB modems available with local tele operators are MG880 USB,Huawei EC-121 ,Huawei EC325, Huawei EC 1260 Huawei EC 168 C, ZTE AC871, HSIA USB Modem, and few others.

None of them are listed in the Compatible list of modems with cradle point.

The support team does not seem to be interested.

Is there any way I can tweak and use my PHS 300 to suit the local USB modems?

Thanks if anyone can provide guidance.

Do the teleoperators have to pay any royalties or comissions to cradlepoint to add the USB modems?

If yes that means it is not on individual's request that the list of supported wireless USB modems get added but on comissions and revenue considerations.

The Huawei EC168C is on the compatibility list. This doesn't mean that it will necessarily work with your carrier, but the modem itself should work with the router.

Steve

What is an APN, this info is required from the carrier end.
