|
|
CTR500 with firmware 1.5.1
Blackberry 8330 - 4.5.0.160
Having a problem where the CTR500 sees the phone, connects to the network, transfers data for a few seconds then stops. I can load a webpage, but if I try to go to another one, I can't get anymore data.
I stay connected to the router fine. When I check status on the router it says active - established but no data is moving. No items in the log file.
Also, if I tether the blackberry I can get to the network with no issues.
Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this?
Thanks
*** UPDATE: Cradlepoint support basically said they don't support this version of the Blackberry OS. This is unfortunate as this version of the BB OS has been out for over a year. |

From the release notes of 1.6:
| Code: | | As a side effect of fixing the Blackberrys for OS 4.5, the phone now exits 'Modem Enabled Mode'. Originally a Blackberry was plugged, initialized, and told to enter data mode. When this happened, the phone enters 'Modem Enabled Mode'. When the phone was disconnected, it stayed in 'Modem Enabled Mode', requiring the user to toggle Manage Connections>Mobile Network for a couple of seconds. With the fix for 4.5, when the Blackberry is disconnected, it exits 'Modem Enabled' Mode immediately. |
You might want to try to upgrade the firmware. |

Just to close the loop, the 1.6 firmware did fix the BB OS 4.5 issue on the CTR500
*** Update - Spoke too soon. Now connects for a few minutes then stops working |
