Hello!
Firstly I'll state my question then lay out what I know and the details of the stiuation.

Question : I've in quite a valley and from what an alltel Rep as stated I have two towers that I can connect to. What Antenna would lead to the best signal.

Details : One 6.5 miles away (I believe this is a EVDO R-O tower) and one 8miles or so away (Possible EVDO R-A) . I'd perfer the R-A tower. But with my current antenna I cannot connect.
So the simple stuff. I've got a Cradlepoint Router Huawei EC168 USB device.

Without the little antenna I have I get around -115dbm to about -95dbm in very lucky places. With the antenna I'm gettings -80-90dbm. But thats only on the R-O tower. I don't have any numbers for the R-A tower.

There is no Line of Sight for either towers and they are quite a distance away. I'm pulling 1.2mbz down and .12mbz down at a ping of around 200. BUT that varies quite alot. Its droped as low as .30down. I believe this is due to signal bounce.

I'm hoping you all could point me towards antennas. I looked at a few Grid antennas but I'm not sure wheither I need 800mhz or 1900mhz. And I'm consurned about the Verizon take over.
Also would a AMP be high gain? Firstly I believe I need an antenna that way I can at least pull from the tower.
