I normally run my Verizon USB727 in my Cradlepoint CTR350 7X24.
Lately it's been disconnecting about once a day and needs to be un-plugged from the CTR and re-plugged to re-establish a connection. The CTR shows an RSSI of around -77 to -79.

Today, I decided to plug the 727 into my PC and check the RSSI and Ec/IO from the field test mode.

After about 5 minutes of "please wait while updating your device" it connected.

The USB 727 is still set for "HDR" only - but the VZAM screen does not show "Brodband Access Rev A" like it used to - just "Broadband Access"

The VZAM screen shows a -76 RSSI when hovering over the signal strength bars.

The Field Test Screen does not show anything for RSSI or EC/IO.
Even after sitting for 3-4 minutes.

I'm not complaining, because I'm getting a speedtest of:

But - why don't I get RSSI and EC/IO displayed in the Field Test Screen?

That is odd. Perhaps a newer version of VZAM if you've got an old one?

Jim -
As a matter of fact, I had VZAM 6.7.8 previously and when I plugged the 727 into my PC it offered to update the VZAM version which I did. Now I have VZAM 6.10.2.

I still have 6.7.8 on my laptop - so I plugged the 727 into my laptop with the same results - no RSSI or EC/IO in the field test screen. I'd post a screenshot of the field test screen if I could figure out how.

You would need a free online photo service like Flickr or Photobucket. Then you upload the screen shot to the service, open it and copy the URL, then in the evdoforums message body click once on 'Img" - paste the link - then click on "Img" again to close the tag. Like this:

so the line looks like:
