Um150 driver problem (code 38)

I, recently upgraded to this card, and installing and connecting went smoothly. After turning off my computer and coming back the next day and try to connect I get a error that says "this modem has reported an error" and then vzaccess says the device is not plugged in. Ok, i go to device manager, and look at the modem and it says something of this nature "Driver still in memory" and the code is (code 3 Cool

. to connect, i simply disabled the modem and started it back up. is this going to be a process i'll have to do every time, or is there a fix for this? Thanks
