Very Nice.

But you did ask "what do you think"
I Think:
I want it to work with Verizon.
I want to lose the spam. (the Verizon name)
Choice of always on top.

Seriously though, it is very nice looking. Will it be available?

Almost ready to release v1. Probably tomorrow. Obviously I have the Sprint device. If you would like to help me make it work with Verizon. Feed the following URL to your browser and send me the response:

192.168.1.1/getStatus.cgi?dataType=TEXT

It looks like the Verizon has a very similar interface. If this comes back with the proper data, creating a verizon one might be pretty easy.

v1 Released. Please give it a test and see if it works with your Verizon MiFi. If there are no issues, I we will post it on the gadget sites...

Download it from (http):
174.132.151.66/MiFi Status.gadget

It will probably be downloaded as a ZIP file. Simply rename it to a .gadget file and double-click to install.

Let me know how ti works.

Thanks,
Mike

OK. I got it downloaded fine, and extracted. I failed to pay attention to VISTA.
I'm running XP, and of course this dosen't work. I've tried a gadget emulator for XP that I found, but the emulator dosen't seem to have any provision to add gadgets.

Hi mike,
On my Novatel Wireless MIFI 2352 I have an issue with the pictures.
I had to unzip the gadget, modify gadget.htm to replace the folder "images2" to "image".

It works fine after this little modification Smile

Excellent feedback, thanks. Does everything else work as expected? Are the icons that are in the different images directory the same size and name, just in a different directory? Perhaps we can put in logic to look for both.

Also looking for feedback from Verizon MiFi users.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi mike,

I've downloaded your gadget from the gallery.
I have the wollowing issue on my Novatel Wireless MIFI 2352 : The "signal" and "battery" pictures are not visible.

I had to unzip the gadget, and modify the gadget.html because on my device, the picture are in the "images" folder and not "images2" folder.
(ex: http://192.168.1.1/images/rssi1.gif)

It works fine after the little modification Smile

Ok. Thanks for the feedback. We are going to add some logic to detect Sprint/Verizon vs. GSM.
