Well as we all know, the KR2 has reached its EoL. I just got myself a Cradlepoint MBR1100. While I was configuring it, the interface looks remarkably similar, as well as the hardware design. I am thinking, the KR2 does not have the VPN feature, with so much similarities, it may be possible to flash MBR1000's firmware into the KR2?

Just a thought, love to hear what you guys thinking. Thanks!

I happen to have 2 KR2's. I've been interested in testing this out since they are both built by cradlepoint. The firmware is also very similar to the dlink gaming series of routers as far as layouts go. I believe the hardware platform may be the same as well. If you or anyone else have thoughts let me know! I'd be much more interested in this if Kyocera were to release the source for their firmware..or at least an OSS version.. Rolling Eyes I can keep dreaming I guess

We have been talking to CradlePoint about this exact feature for months - and it is NOT POSSIBLE.
