Please Help Me Set Up A Router With My Tethered Alltel Phone

I have an LG Glimmer Tethered to my desktop pc to have a high speed connection here in the boonies. I just bought a Netgear WPN824v3 rangemax wireless router. I have never set up any routers, so this is all new to me. Basically I just the router to act as a Wireless Access point so I can connect my laptop and ps3 through the internet connection on my desktop. I have been reading through the forums and have read about doing this, but I am still confused. I have the router plugged up to my computer with the cat5 cable plugged into internet port on the router. I have set to share my alltel connection using ics. I tried to get the ps3 and the laptop to connect, but the ps3 said that the internet connection test failed, but it did pick up the router signal. I did the run and ipconfig to have this info show up:

Alltel:
Ipv4: 98.104.199.138
subnet mask: 255.255.255.255
default gateway: 0.0.0.0

Ethernet adapter local area connection:
Ipv4: 192.168.1.2
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
default gateway: 192.168.1.1

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I am running vista premium with avast antivirus and zonealarm. I did try to turn off the zonealarm to see if that helped, but still no activity. If anyone can help me out in laymans terms, I would greatly appreciate it.
