i have asked around everywhere and havent gotten answers for this... i know people say shut off all extra computers... shut of programs blah blah blah... is there anything shy of getting a different connection that can help lower my ping. Especially for xbox live i have the pantech UM150 plugged into a ctr350 from there ethernet into my xbox so no wireless involved... i am working on thinking why i should buy an amp for 250$ that most likely wont work. so if you have any tips thank you

Amps *do* work actually, but they are pricey. o.o

Find a good spot in your house, perferably on your highest floor right near a window. That's what I have to do albeit having only a 1 story house. I went from horrible 1000ms+ ping and ~2 bars to 4 bars on Rev-A just moving it to a better receptive spot.

Now the problem I'm seeing is even with 4 bars on Rev-A.... quality kinda blows sometimes. Normally during 1-5am it's pretty good. Peak hours... my god why does this pos even exist... that kind of stuff. xD

have you also tried using DrTCP to change your TCP Receive window to 65536? That actually helped a bit too.
