The ol' PCMCIA format is on its way out - most new computers don't support them, and neither do the Cradlepoint routers. So what do you do if you have a Sprint PCMCIA card and want to use a Cradlepoint router - but don't want to change your contract by upgrading to a new modem?
3Gstore has the simple, affordable solution: Purchase the Sprint EX720 + MBR1000 Upgrade Package and upgrade to a Rev-A ExpressCard and Cradlepoint MBR1000 without making ANY changes to your Sprint contract for just $249.99!
What you get:
* Brand new Cradlepoint MBR1000 router
* Factory tested/certified Novatel EX720 ExpressCard Rev-A EVDO Modem for Sprint with NO contract required - use on your existing contract without having to upgrade or change your contract at all!
Who is this package best for?
* Sprint PCMCIA aircard users who want to use a Cradlepoint router
* Sprint customers wanting to upgrade or replace their aircard but do not want to change their contract and need a router
* Sprint customers needing a Cradlepoint router and wanting a backup aircard
Why do I want this package?
* NO CONTRACT CHANGE - simply do an ESN swap to move the service from your old
* SAVE MONEY - the MBR1000 has an MSRP of $249.99 and the refurbished EX720 sells for $99.99 by itself (and a brand new no-contract upgrade costs at least double that). Save $100 by buying the package!
Order the Sprint Novatel EX720 and Cradlepoint MBR1000 for just $249.99 and enjoy a Rev-A ExpressCard and the best 3G router without breaking the bank or changing your Sprint contract! |

Are you 100% sure that it's simple to do an ESN swap and my contract (the unlimited one) won't be changed??
We've been having a lot of issues with connection speed lately - part of which is due to our router. |

| Do you think a newer card and a better router would help our speed issues at all? We've seen a drastic drop in speed the last 2 weeks (I have a post on Sprint's forum asking about that as well). |

to test your existing gear, drive far enough that you end up on another tower. if your speeds improve, the problem is/was likely the tower you are connected to and changing your device/router won't fix that.
if no matter where you go, the speeds are the same, then it is possible that a new/different device and/or router will benefit you. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas/Routers/Amps :: Verizon EVDO :: Sprint EVDO :: Why Buy from 3Gstore? |

Is there anyway to tell where the tower is?
If I use my card in a city I'll get much faster speeds no doubt. We're in a rural area with only a so-so signal which accounts for a slower than average connection. So, taking the card to a different location likely won't help because I have nothing to compare that location's speed to. It will likely be faster than what I have at home, but may still be 'slow' for that area for all I know. |

your post implied that you think your card is a problem.
the testing i described was to help you eliminate the card AS a problem.
if you KNOW that your card is capable of fast speeds, then a replacement card is not likely to be the answer to your issue.
if you KNOW your existing router is the issue, then changing the router (and getting an ex720) will at least let you get speeds that the cards are capable of, throught the different mbr1000 router. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas/Routers/Amps :: Verizon EVDO :: Sprint EVDO :: Why Buy from 3Gstore? |
