Man, they're going he wrong direction with these plans!
500MB /month is a joke! These days, even just checking email can burn through a few hundred K at a time.

| yea I agree with you ferret, what business would want to have that little of consumption of bandwith a month. If it were a business acount you would think sprint would have enough smarts to offer something better than a 5 gb cap since thats what it is advertised as? |

500MB???? That's ludicrous!! Perhaps 500MB in a 24 hr period!
Corporate accounts mean high volume, steady revenue. They are indeed going backwards with these plans. At this rate, I'm tempted to become a WISP with a 56K data backhaul and oversell it to 150-200 people. I'll just give them ridiculously small caps and a FAP which restricts everyone to nothing more than checking their email once a week.

I, as a corporate IT project manager, would consider this plan. We have remote sites that have generally reliable primary connectivity but we still require 24/7 uptime so we maintain 3G failover options. At 500MB, that's 3-5 days of bandwidth per month, which is way more than we currently use on a 59.99/mo plan.
So, to answer your question, I can see how a corporate user might get value from this. Also, I support small business users who go out of town on business trips maybe once a month but the rest of the time are marooned in the office. 500MB is more than enough for that person as well. |

Obviously the type of business also plays a large role in the type of plan you choose, if you were to go the EVDO route. My mother has a online business in which she is constantly emailing large photos and videos. Where she lives, hughesnet is the only option for her. I wish I had gotten her into the unlimited DATA plan sprint used to offer for her business needs. _________________ U720-sprint-XP |
