11/13/05 - I'm travelling from California SF Bay Area and was happily suprised when I got to the Grand Wailea Hotel that I connected at Broadband access on Maui...

I made the mistake of 'activating' and my PRL is down to 50363 and now I only get national access.

I was able to download at 1410kbps with broadband access but now peaking at 170-180 max. Sigh...

Found a trick by holding ctrl key down during activation in vz-access, but it wants and activation code and a PRL file... Any suggestions on that?

I called Verizon and they said they were testing and that I got lucky and snagged a signal but that he couldn't guarantee when I would again. So, if you travel to hawaii don't activate....

thanks,
jp

Seems like Hawaii is goint to be some sort of battle ground, between Sprint and Verizon. Sprint just started offering coverage there.
