CDU-680 and Windows Vista

So, I am having issues with getting these CDU-680 USB modems to connect correctly on Windows Vista machines. We have managed to install it correctly and connect on one of the many laptops. However, just what we did to make it work we do not know. We have mimicked all the settings onto the other computers but still to no avail.

Does anyone know of any issues that may lead to a problem with the CDU-680 USB devices [Franklin Wireless] and Windows Vista? We keep getting stuck as verifying user then it disconnects.

Windows Vista SP1
CDU-680: 3.2.0.6

I have attempted tech support with the carrier but they end up telling me the same thing over and over. Sort of driven up a wall with it.

Are there any services I need to turn on/off in Vista? All firewalls and anti-virus have been turned off as well as turning off the internal wireless.
